A Soccer Party is a great way to celebrate the end of your child’s league season, the World Cup, or the birthday of a young soccer fan. Play soccer at nearby school or park, go see a game (professional, college, high school), or watch a big game on TV at home or at a local sports-themed restaurant.
Design in shape of a soccer ball or goal. Use your favorite team’s colors and incorporate photos of favorite players.
Decorate with soccer party supplies, soccer gear (balls, goals, jersey), balloons in team colors and “Go Team!” or “Great Season” signs and banners.
Games & Activities
Play a game of soccer or do silly soccer drills or an obstacle course. Play soccer trivia. Match soccer stats to photos or names of famous players. Show a soccer highlights or bloopers video. Have guests sign a ball for the birthday child or coach.
Arts & Crafts
Make a soccer collage using pictures from magazines or make pennants & go team banners from poster board or felt.
Serve pizza or sandwiches, potato salad, string cheese, chips & dips and soda, juice or sports drinks. Decorate a rectangular cake like a soccer field or cupcakes with plastic soccer ball or players or make a soccer ball cake.
Send guests home with trading cards, soccer decals and stickers, “Great Season” certificates, trophies or pins for players or a framed action photo of each player (take photos at their games).
